US MINI Sales Down Again – BMW Also

MINI Sales US Report 9/16

September is gone, and the US BMW Group numbers are out. Sales for the month are again behind last year’s results.

BMW’s X vehicle lineup is still holding positive sales performance, but company-wide BMW saw a 7.9% loss in sales. We expect to see a slight bump for MINI with the just announced Clubman John Cooper Works available for ordering now, and in dealerships starting in December.

New MINI Sales

MINI USA sold 4,024 vehicles in September, a decrease from the 4,414 sold in the same month a year ago.  Year-to-date, MINI USA reported a decrease of 13.5 percent from 44,974 automobiles sold in the first nine months of 2015.

MINI Pre-Owned Vehicles

MINI Certified Pre-Owned sales were slightly stronger in September, with 925 units sold, and a record total of 2,234 used vehicles sold. A 4.4 percent increase in for the first nine months of 2016 compared to 2015.
