DriveNow Celebrates 5 Years With Expansion

P90225910-lowResDriveNow, BMW’s car sharing service in Europe is celebrating its fifth year of service with new service available in Brussels, Belgium. Similar to the North American (Seattle) company ReachNow, DriveNow allows users to “rent” BMW and MINI vehicles for short, local journeys. DriveNow says an average journey is between 8 and 15 kilometers and lasts 20 to 40 minutes. Enabling primarily urban residents access to areas that might normally be out of reach by foot or local transit.

Since June of 2011 DriveNow has opened operations in five German cities (Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Düsseldorf and Cologne) in addition to London, Vienna, Copenhagen, Stockholm. The Belgium operation will mark the sixth European country where DriveNow’s over 600,000 customers will have access to vehicles.
