Roll Out – First MINIs head toward Atlanta

The first MINIs have begun to head to Atlanta, Georgia for the start of MINI Takes The States 2016. With just over two weeks until the festivities begin, west coast MINIs that are not driving to the start line are beginning to load up into transporters headed east to await their owners. Officially, we believe the first MINI on its way belongs to the beautiful Gigamot/MINI Goes All Around Hardtop of Torre Sauter, but only because it shipped from Germany.

We’re sure Ashley and Nick were waving goodbye as “Luna” was loaded away.

Stateside, Ashley Poeppel and Nick Ortakales received a surprise call from their trucking company asking to pick up their Roadster “Luna” yesterday in Seattle. Loaded up, and ready to go, we are sure they’re excited and anxious to join her on the east coast in a couple of short weeks.

Many other MINIs will be getting ready in the coming days for either shipment, or a drive to Atlanta, where MINIs from near and far will gather to begin the two-week, cross country, track-to-track journey. Thousands of drivers are expected to take part either partially, or in full, in what many consider the adventure of a lifetime, even if they’ve participated numerous times.

That MINI Show will be bringing you blogs, vlogs, and stories throughout the trip at Be sure to follow along whether you are traveling with us, or watching from home, and don’t forget to contact us using the link above if you’d like to join our #MTTS2016 team!
