Skateboarding In Space

Tony Hawk Jumps over a MINI Cooper MINI Takes The StatesProfessional Skateboarder Tony Hawk has been an “ambassador” for MINI in the US for a couple of years. He’s been the star of numerous MINI ads, and we’ve seen him jump more MINIs than we can count. In 2014, Hawk was a guest at the MINI Takes The States – San Fransisco launch party, and the following morning he jumped over a select group of MINIs as they left Golden Gate Fields to begin the journey to Boston, Massachusetts.

Now, you can take a sneak peek into what skateboarding could possible look like in space as Tony Hawk and Aaron “Jaws” Homoki take to a Zero-G flight with their boards in tow thanks to a partnership with Sony Cameras. Needless to say, the experience is not flawless, but we sure hope they figure out a way to get some MINIs in space for them to jump over before too long, if they can’t do that, hopefully MINIUSA will bring him along again this summer as MINI’s head ‘Track-to Track” from Atlanta, Georgia to Palm Springs, California.

See Hawk do amazing things in Zero Gravity and his family adventures with his Countryman on the next page!
