Hybrid Countryman Confirmed

German Auto Bild recently published a short video of what looks like the 2017 MINI Countryman enjoying some cold weather testing laps in a place most of us probably wouldn’t want to be stuck spending too much time. Upon close examination, the video actually shows two different vehicles draped in yellow camouflage. The first has no lettering on the rear or side and no sun roof or rails. The second, with the extra options, is clearly labeled “Hybrid Test Vehicle”.

Of course, we know that manufactures will do just about anything to throw off the competition, but many are surprised that MINI has been so slow to enter the mass production hybrid market. With no official confirmation from BMW or MINI, these teases are all we have to go by. Do you think the 2017 MINI Countryman be that first attempt? Let us know how you feel in the the comments below, then go check out the video on autobild.de
